Microsoft has assembled a coalition of leading online publishers to develop PubCenter, an online advertising management tool. Among those invited are Viacom, The New York Times Co., Dow Jones Online and Time Inc. All will have a chance to shape the new tool.
PubCenter promises to make the process of bc data philippines selling online advertising easier by streamlining management, forecasting, pricing and reporting. The goal is to make it easier for publishers to worry about these issues, Scout Howe, group vice president of advertising and publishers at Microsoft, told MediaWeek .
According to Howe, most websites use different tools to carry out the different processes of selling online advertising. This fact leads to wasted time and mistakes in execution. The hope is that this "council" of editors will make suggestions that will help improve your online experience.
Microsoft is not the first to create such unified platforms. Both Yahoo! and VivaKi (from Publicis) have already launched similar initiatives.
