Avoid multitasking

Post by suhasini523 »

We all like to believe that marketing specialists are experts at multitasking, and we often condition our team to fulfill this same role.

Neuroscience professor Earl Miller from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) shared some interesting insights on multitasking. In short, the human brain is not designed to multitask.

Miller said, “People can’t multitask efficiently, and when people bahamas whatsapp number database say they can, they’re just kidding themselves. The brain is very good at kidding itself.”

What we can do, however, is shift our focus from one thing to another with astonishing speed.

The way to be more productive is to focus all your attention on one task at a time. Give it everything you've got. Then, once you've completed that task, move on to the next one and give it your full attention.

When you are creating content for a blog or planning a Marketing Plan, close social media, minimize your email, put away your cell phone and focus completely on that task.

5. Take a deep breath

When you feel stressed or overwhelmed, take a deep breath. In a new study, researchers at Stanford University School of Medicine and their colleagues identified a handful of nerve cells in the brain stem that connect breathing to mood.

The study showed that slow breathing induces calmness in your body. If you think about it, it makes sense, since if you were to start breathing very fast right now you would feel the state of your body begin to change completely.

We know that as a professional and person in charge of an area , tasks can start to pile up throughout the day. Sometimes we feel like we won't be able to complete everything, let alone at a high level.

Not only does breathing reduce stress and increase focus, it also helps you gain clarity about what really needs to be done and what can be put off for another time.
