I recently saw an interesting and critical post on sMedio about the 10 reasons why not to keep all your “Marketing” on the Internet , very focused on Social Media Marketing . Without a doubt, one of those posts that you can share with more people and check how many are in favor of one of them or how many are against it. In short, you have more arguments to be able to talk between the “Agency” and the “Client”.
When Social Media Marketing is not the solution
Given the wide range of possible actions on Social Networks that bc data vietnam would encompass an Online Marketing strategy , there are more or less natural “brakes” that make it possible to hear phrases such as: “ my sector and the Internet do not get along well ”, “ I do not want to appear anywhere…just in case ”, “ no ROI or benefits, a waste of time ” or “ this is useless, it is a fad ”… Myths ? Fear? Too far removed from the company strategy?…
Returning to the topic that inspired this post, I leave you with some of the reasons why, they argue, we should not focus entirely on Online, when Social Media Marketing is not the solution :
#Not everyone is on the Internet
Not only our target audience… True. It is estimated that there is “only” 30% of the world’s population with access to the Internet. If we also add the “novelty” of Marketing actions on Social Networks, it may be that a (large) portion of our clients do not move in these environments.
#You can't structure Actions-Results
By definition, traditional marketing is more structured (being much more standardized and established) than any other online technique (too much innovation? Metrics still poorly developed and understandable?)…
#You can't protect yourself
You will be more vulnerable because you will have more opportunities to reach more people and in a much more transparent and open way. Likewise, if you have “something to hide”, then “Not showing up” is definitely not your solution. Rather, you should adopt a “show up and fix it” approach.
#Social Networks are not for Selling
It is important to note that social media is there to connect people. Companies are run by people. Brands are brands. Just because they are a great marketing tool doesn't mean they sell on their own or for you.
#Social Networks are a means, not an end
They also emphasize this so that the concept and change of culture reaches more people. If they are not the solution for your sales, they will not be the solution for your profits either. Having a profile on Twitter will not generate more income. What would generate more income would be the relationship between company and client through Twitter, acting as Customer Service, as the fastest/official Communication Channel…
