TELEFÓNICA AND DYGRA FILMS BRING 3D TECHNOLOGY

Santa Claus, the Three Wise Men and Rita the sheep are some of the main characters in the first digital stereoscopic 3D advertising campaign for cinemas in Spain. This advertising innovation comes from Telefónica and Dygra Films to communicate the promotions that Telefónica Movistar has developed for its clients this Christmas.

Visitors to the 34 cinemas throughout Spain with betting data the 3D system will be able to enjoy the 60-second advert that will recreate a new adventure for Rita the sheep. On this occasion, the protagonists will be the Three Wise Men who compete in a humorous way with Santa Claus to develop the best gift for this Christmas, that is, the best promotion for Movistar customers.

Thanks to stereoscopic 3D technology, characters and objects will come to life and appear to come out of the screen and get closer to the viewer. Visitors to the rooms where the Telefónica Movistar campaign is being shown will receive polarized glasses that will allow them to correctly view the creative. With the new system, the viewer receives two images at the same time, one for each eye, which the brain is responsible for interpreting and converting into three dimensions thanks to these special glasses. In this way, the viewer appreciates all the nuances and details that this technology allows.

Movistar's Christmas advert is also betting on the latest technologies in the advertising field, as the stereoscopic 3D digital system is at the technological forefront of the audiovisual sector.

On the other hand, the characters in the production are dubbed by prominent actors such as Anabel Alonso, who voices Rita the sheep, or renowned dubbers such as Iván Muelas (the usual voice of Will Smith) in the role of Baltasar or Pepe Mediavilla (voice of Morgan Freeman), playing Santa Claus.
